Hastelloy C22 is highly resistance-resistant to chlorides, wet chlorine, acetic and formic acids, cupric and ferric chlorides, and brine, which makes it so preferred for every industrial application.

This nickel alloy also offers robust resistance in atmospheric conditions where oxidizing and reducing conditions are encountered during process streams, making it suitable for versatile plant applications prone to upset conditions.

Hastelloy C22—also resists grain boundary precipitate formation in the heat-affected zones of welds, thus ensuring reliability in applications related to chemical processes, even in as-welded conditions. However, the service temperature should not be above 1250°F since there may be a phase formation issue beyond this range. Used with a Lap Joint Stub End, the Hastelloy C22 Lap Joint Flange has standard dimensions of flanges without a raised face; thus, it is suitable for low-pressure applications where resistance to oxidative corrosion is exceptionally required.
